The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) has appointed Chris Gliddon to the newly-created position of operations director.
The government-sanctioned organisation said the role has been introduced to assist it in reaching its strategic objectives, linked to driving positive change in the KBB industry.
Chris, who previously worked in the public sector as a training & development supervisor, has experience in the development and management of processes, and will head up BiKBBI’s operations team. He will be responsible for key functions within the organisation including registrations and compliance.
Chris said: ‘I am thrilled to be joining BiKBBI and looking forward to being part of an organisation that champions positivity and is playing an active role in shaping the future of the KBB industry. My focus initially will be exploring all areas of engagement between BiKBBI and our registered businesses, as I learn more about the sector, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Damian Walters, CEO at BiKBBI, said: ‘The creation of this position marks a significant milestone for the institute and highlights the importance we place on achieving our objectives, which are determined by industry needs. In order to achieve these targets, we need to ensure that the institute is in the best possible place for growth and development, and there is no doubt that Chris’ knowledge and experience, along with his passion for what we are trying to achieve, will be a great addition to our strategic approach.”
