Dornbracht introduces new PVD brass finish in response to current trends
The new finish from Dornbracht is the latest addition to the fittings manufacturer’s surface portfolio. Brushed Dark Brass is now available for the Meta, Tara, Vaia, and Madison bathroom series, as well as the matching accessories. From August 2025, the PVD finish will also be available for MEM and selected kitchen ranges.
After Light Gold and Brushed Bronze, Brushed Dark Brass is the 3rd finish to be created in Dornbracht’s new PVD production line at its HQ in Iserlohn, Germany. In 2023, the company invested more than 7million euros in the modern, energy-efficient facility.
Christian Ennenbach, who as CEO is responsible for finance, operations, and IT at Dornbracht, said: “The investment in the new PVD system is both a further development of our finishes expertise and a clear commitment to the Iserlohn site. The technology allows us to open new worlds of colour. At the same time, we benefit from a flexible process with short set-up times. The PVD systems are therefore an excellent addition to our electroplating facility, where we produce our precious metal finishes. We are therefore ideally positioned to offer our customers an even larger, curated selection of high-quality finishes.”
Brushed Dark Brass combines warm nuances with dark shades, giving the finish depth and character. Its special brushing creates a silky shimmer and highlights the iridescent play of colours. The PVD finish is suitable for different room concepts – whether minimalist and understated, or expressive and opulent. Numerous colours, such as red and earth tones, can be combined. Materials such as terracotta tiles, patinated metal, Douglas fir wood, or red-brown accentuated Sienna terrazzo also go well with the brass tone.
