Dornbracht presents first Atelier Edition 'The Rock'

Brassware manufacturer Dornbracht has unveiled its first Atelier Edition, which is aptly named The Rock. Providing a fresh take on the brand’s award-winning MEM range, The Rock features sculptural rock-shaped handles made of solid metal. 

Utilising modern technology and craftsmanship, each handle is milled, sanded and polished for a unique finish. 

Caroline Schmitt, general management Dornbracht, said: “We have designed something that feels authentic and natural. In times of digital reproducibility, the immediate presence of ‘The Rock’ is an expression of originality. The craftsmanship lends the handles a strength of character that cannot be copied.”

As well as the MEM version with metal, rock-shaped handles, The Rock can also be customised with other materials such as marble, or combined with other Dornbracht ranges. 

The Editions are part of the new Dornbracht Atelier portfolio, which offers customised solutions that are created in small quantities to push the boundaries of design and craftsmanship. 

Schmitt said: “Our Atelier Editions serve as inspiration. They exemplify the fact that there are no limits to creativity. At the same time, they are an appeal to completely rethink the design of faucets.”
