10 wood-effect vanity units for a nature-inspired look in the bathroom

There's something about the pared-back simplicity of natural-looking wood-effect bathroom furniture that adds a dimension of elegance and texture to a space – Emma Hedges rounds up 10 of the latest vanity unit launches.

1 - Combining high-quality ceramic washbasins with contemporary finishes, the VitrA S20 furniture range inspires bathrooms that are as durable as they are beautiful. Shown here on the S20 Round vanity unit and S20 Square tall unit, Maple oak introduces a clean, warm aesthetic with subtle mid-century influences. Its light, natural tone and refined grain detailing make it well-suited to contemporary bathrooms that prioritise calm, clarity and understated texture.

2 - Atlanta Bathrooms' elegant 800mm Linara wall-mounted vanity unit in Torro Oak is finished with black handles and topped with a 12mm White Marble compact laminate worktop. Softly curved edges mirror the subtle contours of the vanity below, paired with a Ripple vessel basin and a tall black Petal basin mixer. Completing the look are a 300mm-wide wall-mounted tall storage unit and a Linara 600mm WC unit featuring a delicate fluted design alongside a Linhope back-to-wall WC.

3 - Rotpunkt's new Zerox SY VER furniture is pictured here in Scandinavian Brown Oak, which creates a warm, inviting bathroom environment with its rich, brown undertones and realistic fine woodgrain. The clean look is emphasised by the handle-free design, which includes a push-to-open function to increase the sense of spaciousness. Double doors, a deep drawer beneath the basin, and open shelving offer generous storage ensuring everyday bathroom essentials are always stored out of sight.

4 - The 600mm Linara 3-drawer floorstanding unit from Atlanta Bathrooms in Vicenza Oak showcases refined craftsmanship and is complemented by a matching Torro Oak countertop, with chrome handles and legs. Topped with a Verdant sit-on basin featuring gently curved edges that echo the unit’s subtle form, the set is completed by a matching 300mm-wide wall-mounted tall storage unit and a Linara 600mm WC unit with subtle fluted detailing, alongside a Linhope back-to-wall WC.

5 - The Antao collection from Villeroy & Boch is inspired by nature and is said to offer flexibility for any bathroom layout. The collection includes vanity units in a range of sizes, including slim open-style designs, alongside complementary furniture pieces, and matching washbasins, mirrors, taps, and co-ordinated accessories. Pictured here in Warm Walnut, measuring 1600 x 360 x 500mm with 4 drawers, it also comes in Warm Walnut, Honey Oak, Black Matt Lacquer, Leaf Green Matt Lacquer, and Silk Grey Matt Lacquer.

6 - Elegant, functional and spacious, the modular RAK-Joy Uno furniture range from RAK Ceramics features a minimalist design that will enhance any bathroom. Available in widths from 600 - 2010mm, this one-drawer-only contemporary range can be combined with open storage units and RAK-Plano, a one-piece vanity top. 7 - The Kuba Textured Walnut modular furniture range from Bathrooms to Love by PJH features soft curved edges and a beautifully textured walnut-effect front with on-trend vertical fluting. Available in 3 sizes (500, 605 and 805mm Width x H360 x D460mm), complete with generously sized inset ceramic basin and a deep storage drawer, the range also includes a wall-hung Tall Unit with 2 shelves measuring W350 x H1200 X D250mm, and offers a Textured Oak finish as an alternative.

8 - Inspired by the elegance of American 5-star hotel living, BagnoDesign’s new Carlyle Collection is a modern classic range that blends understated luxury with refined details. The 2-drawer vanity units come in 3 sizes (pictured is the 1238 x 512 x 480mm version) and 3 finishes of Matt White with Brushed Oro Profile, Silver Oak with Oxide Profile, pictured, and Dark Oak with Soft Bronze Profile.   

9 - New from Tissino, the Cosenza collection includes a floorstanding option, tall unit, basin unit and back-to-wall WC unit, and comes in a choice of Light Oak or Natural Oak, shown here. The 800mm basin unit (600mm and 1200mm are also available) features Matt Black handles, is fitted with optional designer legs and combines beautifully with the Cellini Solid Surface Matt Finish Basin.

10 - Utopia's Chic modular collection was introduced last year. Washbasin units are available in 600, 800, 1200 and 1600mm widths with either slabtop or sit-on basins. Single, double and twin single and twin double options are available, and units are offered in both push-to-open or pull-to-open forms. There are 19 finishes (gloss, super matt soft touch, matt, patterned and textured) to choose from including 2 wood effects – Dorchester Oak and Richmond Walnut.
