Trone unveils new Orgueil WC with rectangular silhouette

Eight years after its launch of the Icone and Callipyge WCs, French company Trone has unveiled Orgueil – a new addition to its core WC range. A radical departure from the rounded language of Callipyge, Orgueil introduces a precise rectangular silhouette, transforming the toilet into an architectural object defined by restraint, distortion and controlled tension. 

The company says Orgueil embodies Trone’s 'ongoing pursuit of ceramic pushed to its limits'. Challenging conventions, its soft curves resemble a fluid material captured in a precise movement, echoing the softness of a draped textile. Each façade is shaped under maximum tension, while the rounded edges catch the light adding visual interest.

The design is built on absence as much as presence. The seat follows the full imprint of the ceramic body, extending each plane in a single continuous form. Seat buffers were redesigned to remain visually discreet while protecting the ceramic surfaces, while hinges are fully concealed to preserve the purity of a perfect cuboid defined by uninterrupted lines. A quick-release system allows the seat to be removed in seconds, ensuring simple maintenance without compromising design integrity.
