The Egger Group has appointed Andrew Tait as its new commercial director for its Western Europe Division, to succeed Bob Livesey when he retires in spring 2021 after a 37-year career at Egger.
Andrew joined the company in August 2020 and will be responsible for the ongoing commercial development of Egger’s decorative and building panels business in the Western European market. He has more than 30 years of professional sales and commercial experience, and has also worked in procurement, supplier selection and central co-ordination of wood-based materials for the building industry. Andrew brings with him a deep understanding of the relevant sectors in the UK, French, Iberian and Irish markets.
Previously sales and commercial director UK & Ireland for building solutions group Etex, Andrew also held the post of purchasing and marketing director (construction) at Saint Gobain Building Distribution (group based in Paris), and spent eight years at Jewson.
Bob Livesey joined the Egger Group in 1983 as import sales and marketing manager. Over the last 37 years, he is by the group to have played a pivotal role in driving the transformation of a small import business into a market leading domestic producer in the UK.
