Italian kitchen appliance brand Smeg has announced it has partnered with France’s famous Le Mans 24-hour race, celebrating the race’s 100th anniversary. An extremely limited run of the FAB10 refrigerators will be launched, featuring the well-known Le Mans circuit map, adorning Smeg’s black finish and retro design.
The world’s greatest sports-car race first took place in France during 1923. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is said to be a brutal test of endurance where competitors race fast cars for 24 hours, exceeding speeds of 200mph. The celebratory refrigerator combines the celebration of the centenary of the Le Mans 24-hour race with the Italian heritage of Smeg’s classic FAB10.
The FAB10 is described as 'a small fridge with a big personality', standing at just 970mm tall and 545mm wide and the limited edition has been embellished with a sketch of the Le Mans racetrack. The fridge’s door provides convenient storage for mid-race refreshments whilst its inner shelves can be adjusted for convenience.
