Furniture fittings manufacturer Blum is set to explore how we can all specify bravely at this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week.

Under the collective theme of ‘Specify Bravely’, Blum will host a series of sessions alongside partner brands Egger and CLEAF at the EGGER showroom, which is located in the heart of London’s design district at 1 Dallington Street, Clerkenwell.

Blum and its partners’ programme of workshops will see experts draw on a wide range of knowledge, linking back to how and why it’s important to specify bravely in light of today’s challenges.

The popular Blum Age Explorer suit will be on hand to give attendees an insight into how sight, muscle strength and joint mobility diminish with age, bringing to life why thoughtful, future-proof design is so important.

Also on the programme is a talk from TiggColl Architects, which will explore how brave specification applies to ESG, examining the real decisions designers and specifiers face when trying to align built environment projects with environmental, social and governance principles.

Closing the week's sessions, 'The Ethics of Fast Trends: Can trend-led design be sustainable?', will bring together a panel of industry voices to discuss how to balance creative ambition with long-term responsibility.

Krystyna Threlfall, Blum UK marketing manager, said: “We’re looking forward to this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week and to welcoming visitors back to our collaborative space for another year. We have a fantastic schedule planned with a variety of talented experts, ensuring there is always something to learn across the three days.

“The partnership of Blum, Egger and CLEAF brings together three leading brands to offer an exceptional breadth of options, opportunities and solutions for the design community. Egger London provides a valuable hub where interior designers, specifiers and project owners can connect during Clerkenwell Design Week, collaborate and bring ideas to life.”
