Abode names Bluebell Wood Hospice as latest charity partner

Sink and tap designer and distributor Abode has announced Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice in Sheffield as its latest charity partner. So far, the company's staff have helped raise over £3.3K for the charity, which offers support and palliative care to families who have a child or young adult with a shortened life expectancy and complex medical needs. Providing an extremely valuable service to hundreds of families local to Abode, the Yorkshire based charity has been helping those in need since 2008, from South Yorkshire to North Derbyshire, through to North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire.

Most recently, five Abode employees took part in the Doncaster City 10k run on 26th November to raise money for Bluebell Wood. Sorcha Baker at Abode, pictured, said: “I really enjoyed taking part in the Doncaster 10k with four of my fellow colleagues as no matter how hard it was, the overall reward is 100% worth it!”

Leanne Adamson, marketing manager at Abode, says: “Many of our staff live locally to our headquarters in Barnsley, which makes supporting our local community a universal priority within the business. We pride ourselves on being a close-knit team by maintaining a family-friendly business culture. By extending the same level of compassion to impactful outreach programmes that are local to us is really important to everyone at Abode, which is why we all come together as one big family to decide on the charities we support.”
