KBB Birmingham, Europe’s largest biennial kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms event, has announced that entries are now open for the 2026 Innovation Awards. Returning for its 7th edition, the Innovation Awards celebrate the most forward-thinking, design-led and sustainable solutions in the KBB sector. Previous winners have included Space-Plug who won the Judge’s Choice award, Samsung who received the Sustainability Award for its Less Microfiber Filter, and People’s Choice Award winner, Hidealoo. From cutting-edge product launches to pioneering manufacturing techniques, the awards spotlight the brands shaping the future of the industry.

The 2026 awards will once again be held in partnership with Blum, a global leader in kitchen fittings and a longstanding supporter of innovation in the sector.

Categories for 2026 include:

  • Best Sustainable Design
  • Judges’ Choice
  • People’s Choice – voted for by visitors to the show

Entries are open to all brands, manufacturers and suppliers operating in the KBB space. Products, components or innovations must have launched after June 2024 and clearly demonstrate originality, impact, and relevance to today’s market.

A panel of expert judges from across the design, retail, and manufacturing sectors will assess the entries, with the shortlist to be unveiled in January ahead of the show. 10 finalists will be showcased at KBB Birmingham 2026, offering visitors a first-hand look at the most exciting developments in the industry. Visitors will also have the chance to cast their vote in the People’s Choice category. The overall award winners will be announced at a dedicated award ceremony at the show.

Sam Fisher, event director at KBB Birmingham, said: “The Innovation Awards are a brilliant platform for brands to gain recognition and visibility at the UK’s most influential KBB event. The Innovation Awards have always been about spotlighting the most exciting ideas in the KBB industry, and now we’re seeing a real shift in what innovation means. It’s no longer just about clever design or smart tech; it’s about creating solutions that are genuinely sustainable, both environmentally and commercially... We can’t wait to see what this year’s entrants bring to the table.”
