Sirius Buying Group, one of the UK’s major buying groups of electrical appliances and kitchen retail solutions has announced its 11th international conference will take place on 19th-21st May at the Tivoli Marina resort in Vilamoura, Portugal.
Sirius says the event will provide independent retailers with an opportunity to explore the latest exclusive promotions from the world’s leading appliance brands and discover how to leverage the latest market trends with its experts.
Mark Veysey, head of operations at Sirius Buying Group, said: “Our annual conference gives business owners and leaders the complete package in turns of networking, brainstorming and business development with invaluable peer-to-peer support. We believe in facilitating change and ensuring that every single Sirius member is aware of how innovations in technology and consumer preferences are shaping our market so that they can be empowered to make the best possible decisions going forwards. Combining presentations, keynote speeches and informal workshops and space for confidential business coaching, the International Conference experience enables new connections, ideas and collaborations to develop in a supportive environment as our sector continues to evolve.
“Our senior leadership team fully understands the challenges for the independent retailer as the UK economy recovers from technical recession with the OBR predicting growth of 0.8%. Economic output is projected to expand by 1.9% in 2025 and by 2.0% in 2026, so we can advise on individual strategies as our members appreciate that success is a marathon, not a sprint. We pride ourselves on promoting a growth mindset and are looking forward to sharing a wealth of resources at our conference from the latest global consumer trends to tried-and-tested systems to streamline stock management and ordering.”
The Tivoli Marina resort is described as one of the most luxurious places to stay in The Algarve and the Conference schedule is designed to allow plenty of time for guests to enjoy the facilities for informal networking and socialising. The agenda includes structured time for members to focus on their medium and long-term strategy as well as developing and uplevelling the customer journey. Members can also attend the Gala Dinner.
