Neolith presents strategic plan for second half of 2024

Spanish sintered stone specialist Neolith has announced its business plan for the second half of the year, which includes the launch of 6 new products and the presentation of a new line of surfaces that does not contain crystalline silica. In addition, the company will continue with its international expansion strategy that has been carrying out over the last 3 years and will open 3 new distribution centres in 3 continents: Europe, America and Oceania, which it says will strengthen the international implementation of the brand.

The company expects to launch its new product line, Atmosphere, which will comprise 4 new models, worldwide by the end of June. According to Jesús Ayarza, CEO of Neolith Group: “These models will add a fresh breeze of innovation to all of our other collections and will help complete our already broad catalogue of designs”. He added: “We’d like to keep on getting ahead of the market needs and trends by offering new products that are at the forefront of the industries and create standards for the sector worldwide."

In parallel to the launch of Atmosphere, Neolith recently announced that its all-new crystalline silica-free product line known as Neolith for a New Era, which the company has been developing throughout the last year, will be available to the Australian market from June. “The demand will set the pace for the implementation of our new crystalline silica-free product line in different territories. Neolith has made great efforts and a high investment in R&D to develop our surfaces for a New Era, and we’re convinced they will meet the most demanding professionals’ needs very well. These new crystalline silica-free products have the same technical characteristics our customers so adore. We truly believe marble workers and installers will be impressed by how you can work with them... We can already clearly see there will be a period of conversion between materials such as compact quartz, which have been on the market for years, and are losing in market share to other technically superior products like Neolith."

Regarding international expansion, Neolith has announced 3 new distribution centres will be operating in 2024, which will help continue establishing the brand internationally. The first is located in Gothenburg, Sweden, with operations having begun already last February. February also saw the conclusion of the renovation work to open a new Neolith distribution centre in Los Angeles, which includes a spacious brand showroom. Finally, Neolith is in the middle of renovating another distribution centre in Auckland, New Zealand, which is expected to be up and running in the third quarter of 2024.

These 3 new centres are in addition to the distribution centres the company inaugurated in 2023 in cities such as Milan, Italy and Katowice, Poland. At the end of this financial year, the company will have a total of 25 distribution centres around the world.

In terms of the business and the situation the sector is going through, Jesús Ayarza, who will be celebrating his first year as Neolith CEO in July, said: “2023 was a year in which we found ourselves up against major challenges since the overall demand for construction materials had dropped in many markets. For 2024, we want to be ambitious and moderately optimistic. The first quarter of the year has ended very well above our forecasts, with our majority shareholder CVC as well as the entire management team putting in all the necessary ingredients and reinforcing our teams, in addition to considering an expansion of Neolith’s production capacity in order to respond to the increasing demand we’re experiencing.”
