Vado has announced the relocation of its warehousing operations to a new facility in Bridgwater, Somerset. The significantly larger warehouse is now fully operational and fulfilling all Vado deliveries. The company says the strategic move consolidates its operations from 5 separate warehouses in Cheddar and Glastonbury, to one singular, state-of-the-art site.
The relocation will enhance capacity and optimise Vado's processes, enabling it to deliver an improved and faster service to customers. In addition, the new facility supports its expansion into new bathroom categories, such as the launch of Cameo, allowing it to hold more stock and store larger items effectively. The Bridgwater site offers over 65,000sq ft of warehouse space, including approximately 8,000 pallet spaces, 6 loading docks, office facilities and yard space. The consolidation of its warehouses also significantly reduces the company's carbon footprint.
"This move is a key step towards becoming more efficient and responsive to our customer’s needs," said Andy Baines, MD of Vado. "By centralising our operations, we are on a path of continuous improvement, saving 1,000 trips per year and reducing our annual van transportation by 26,000 miles."
While customer support and operations teams are now based in Bridgwater, the Vado HQ in Cheddar remains home to many desk-based staff, as well as the brand's Hydrologics Studio.
