Appliance manufacturer Fisher & Paykel has announced that David Woollcott, MD for UK, Ireland & Europe, pictured, is set to depart at the end of October 2022. Laurence Mawhinney, executive vice president business development, will lead the UK, Ireland & European business, while the company is in the process of appointing a new managing director.
Laurence Mawhinney has been global executive and board member for Fisher & Paykel UK, Ireland & European operations for several years, and is a veteran of Fisher & Paykel with over 30 years’ experience at the company. The company said that Mawhinney and the senior leadership team will continue to work closely together until the new MD comes onboard.
Mawhinney thanked David Woollcott for his commitment and dedication during his five-year tenure, adding: “David has brought inspiring leadership while transforming the UK, Ireland & Europe and delivered many successes for the market during his time with Fisher & Paykel. David led from the front and lived out our human-centred values to create a remarkable culture. We have an outstanding team based in our Northampton and Dublin offices, who will continue to grow the brand across UK, Ireland and Europe.”
