KBB and merchant service provider Simon Acres Group has raised £1,000 for Cancer Research UK (CRUK), from its first charity golf day. The event was held at Overstone Park Golf Club with 40 attendees taking part from manufacturers, fabricators, retailers, software providers, associations and the trade press.
Algarve Granite’s MD Alex Jennings won the team event, and Darren Summerfield, commercial director of KBBFocus, won the individual score.
Simon Acres Group MD Simon Acres said: “We are grateful to those who joined us for a great day and helped us raise money for such a worthwhile cause. Huge thanks also to our sponsors that made the day possible; Nolte, Stone Sense, Algarve Granite, Anthill, Lecico, BKU and Cyncly.
“We have already booked the date for next year, which is Thursday 23rd May 2024, at Overstone Park Golf Course, Northampton. We hope to double the attendees to exceed 80 and raise even more money.”
