The 1810 Company has announced the launch of its latest innovation in kitchen sink design – the Maya range. This sink is said by the brand to bring together the 'timeless charm of the traditional Belfast sink style with the unmatched strength and beauty of quartz granite'.
An important benefit of using quartz granite over ceramic Belfast sinks is the 0%-dimension tolerance. Unlike quartz granite, handmade kiln-fired sinks tend to expand and shrink during the manufacturing process, this then introduces a permitted manufacturing tolerance. By using quartz granite, the possibility of this has been eliminated, so the Maya sink is guaranteed to meet the exact measurements specified.
Available in a Black or White finish, the Maya sink features sleek lines and smooth contours to create a visually striking focal point. The timeless design is inspired by the traditional Belfast sink, renowned for its deep bowl and straight sides, while incorporating contemporary elements to complement modern kitchen styles.
As it's made from quartz granite, the sink is said to be highly resistant to scratches, chips, and stains. The robust construction guarantees long-lasting performance, withstanding the rigours of daily use without compromising its aesthetics. The quartz granite material also exhibits remarkable heat resistance to 280°C, making the sink highly tolerant to boiling water.
