Rearo forms new partnership with Easy Bathrooms

Bathroom and kitchen surface manufacturer Rearo has joined forces with Wakefield-based Easy Bathrooms in what it says is 'an innovative collaboration'. The Glasgow-based producer of high-pressure laminate wall panels and worktops has developed a revolutionary, Polyurethane-based wall panel product that promises to outperform traditional plywood and MDF coverings in terms of both durability and weight. The £1m-a-year collaboration will see Easy Bathrooms exclusively offering this product to its customers.

Graham Mercer, MD of Rearo, pictured, which has branches in Northampton and Tyneside, said the Nuova range has been conceived and manufactured especially for Easy Bathrooms and will be on sale at its outlets across the UK in 16 different design patterns. He said: "Easy Bathrooms is one of our biggest customers and, with its rapid expansion across the UK, the partnership seemed inevitable. They were using our plywood panels and water-proof core versions from another supplier. However, we seized the opportunity to innovate with them, developing a brand-new product that meets their needs even better."

Rearo supplies a range of UK businesses, including fast food restaurants, supermarkets, and high-street chains. It delivers a range of products, including kitchen worktops and splashbacks, bathroom wall panels, PVC ceiling panels, and vinyl click flooring. It also supplies an extensive range of flooring, kitchen, bathroom and ceiling accessories and shower panel trims.

The company manufactures several in-house product ranges, including the flagship Selkie shower wall panels, Senses worktops, RapidFit cubicles and more. In addition to these ranges, it supplies products from several high-quality brands, including Duropal, BioClad, Unika, Fenix and Zenolite.

According to Mercer, the Nuova range boasts several advantages over traditional plywood and MDF panels. He said: “We have improved the density of the core material, enhancing its resistance to wear and tear. It's completely waterproof and features a rougher surface texture, providing better adhesion for laminate. The enhancements we've made to the product make it ideal for wet environments, and we're confident it will outperform existing solutions. While it's likely more cost-effective than plywood, we're positioning it as a premium offering in the market."
