MHK appoints two new team members as UK expansion continues

MHK, Europe’s leading buying group for independent retailers, has announced the appointment of 2 new team members – Jon Earl, regional account manager and Louise Wheeler, UK office manager. The appointments come at a key time for MHK to support its expansion strategy for the UK kitchen market.

David Morris, sales manager, MHK-UK, said: “One of our key recruitment criteria is to bring in individuals who have both supplier and independent retail backgrounds as they truly understand the unique challenges and rewards that the industry presents. This year, we will rapidly on-board new members as more retailers wake up to the collective purchasing power and numerous partnership benefits of MHK membership. The appointment of Jon and Louise is part of our plan to further support our UK community and we warmly welcome them to the team.”

With experience spanning more than 10 years in businesses such as Häfele and Electrolux, as well as helping manage a showroom, Jon has an understanding of the workings of independent KBB businesses. In his new role, Jon will strengthen relationships with existing partners and foster new ones across the South. His extensive background in sales, coupled with his knowledge of the KBB market, positions him well to drive growth and deliver value to MHK's clients.

Louise Wheeler entered the industry 18 years ago when she opened a successful In-toto franchise in Ealing. The business expanded with the opening of further showrooms, and Louise developed a love for kitchen design, excellent customer service and problem solving, which she is looking forward to bringing to her role at MHK. She will be in a retailer facing role, assisting the on-boarding process and helping members with enquiries.
