In 2016 Grohe’s Rapid SL flushing system was given Quiet Mark seal of approval, and now, following a review of the new Grohe Rapid SLX system and its noise reports by Quiet Mark’s team of acousticians, the updated product has also been certified as Quiet Mark Approved. This is largely due to the dual-flush cistern with Grohe’s Whisper water technology, which is said by the brand to significantly reduce the sound of the flush to help stop the noise travelling through the walls.
The Rapid SLX is a concealed support frame with flushing cistern that caters for wall-hung designs, and the ever-increasing range of rimless toilets entering the market as well as the steady growth of shower toilets also infiltrating the sector. The system can also facilitate the retrofit of a shower toilet at a later date, taking into consideration how family homes might need to adapt in years to come without extensive structural renovations and additional investments.
Elina Enqvist-Twomey, category manager at Grohe UK, said: “We know that the Quiet Mark symbol is trusted by consumers and is an accolade only awarded following rigorous testing and approval from accredited acoustic experts. In the bathroom, a space many are now looking to as a sanctuary and place of wellbeing and relaxation, the need and demand for quiet performing products is of even greater importance. We are delighted to have not one but two of our innovative bathroom solutions recognised by the scheme. As a brand, we really understand the value that quiet products can have in supporting a better, healthier environment in our home, living and work spaces and we will continue to cater to this demand where possible in our product offering.”
