Building Future Conference to focus on construction and energy at ISH

The Building Future Conference, organised by Messe Frankfurt in co-operation with leading German trade associations, is set to highlight strategies for the future of construction and energy at ISH 2025, which is taking place in Frankfurt from 17th to 20th March. Experts from politics, local authorities, the housing and real-estate sector, as well as energy, architecture and planning, will discuss the industry's most urgent challenges and present strategies for a sustainable and resource-efficient future.

The first day of the conference will focus on energy policy in Germany and Europe and revolve around the political framework for the heat transition and its successful implementation.

On 18th March, the focus will be on the challenges of municipal heat planning. The third day, Wednesday 19th March, will be devoted to the part played by the European Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the amendment to the German Building Energy Act (GEG) and focus on the effects of the new regulations on the planning, construction and modernisation of buildings.

On the final day the focus will be on current and future challenges facing the property and housing sector looking at the political framework, cost, and energy efficiency for new and existing buildings.

All presentations at the Building Future Conference will be translated simultaneously into German and English. Participation is free of charge and subject to prior registration. Further information and registration details can be found HERE
