KBB and merchant service provider Simon Acres Group (SAGL) has revealed it supported the BacZac annual golf day by sponsoring one of the holes. The Northampton-based charity works with young adults with cancer and their families, and was originally set up in memory of Zac Forskitt, who was diagnosed with two rare forms of cancer at the age of 20.
Ben Paine, director of Simon Acres Recruitment, pictured, attended the golf day and has previously raised money for the charity with a sponsored run and cycle ride. Paine said: “The COVID pandemic has been devastating for BacZac. The money raised from the golf day will help this special charity fulfil the legacy of very brave young man who sadly lost his own brave and courageous battle.
”The charity offers practical help via meal vouchers and grants and is looking to raise enough money for a respite home. This would provide holiday accommodation for families with a young adult suffering from cancer, possibly one last trip away as a family, or to aid a bereaved family.”
