PJH Wellbeing Challenge raises £5,000 for NHS Charities

Bathrooms, appliances, sinks and taps distributor, PJH, has donated £5,000 to ‘NHS Charities Together’, after staff completed its ‘Wellbeing Team Challenge’, which tasked employees to collectively travel a Globe Union-spanning 21,020 miles from walking, cycling, running, swimming, and kayaking.

For the ‘Wellbeing Team Challenge’, PJH asked its employees to travel the world together, ‘virtually’ by any self-powered wellbeing activity in just 60 days. The challenge, which ran throughout the summer, was designed to promote wellbeing within the company, and employees shared photos throughout the challenge, highlighting efforts and progress. The team collectively covered 21,020 miles, with 126 staff clocking up an average of 350 miles per day from 4,093 activities.

Richard George, PJH CEO, said: “Good mental and physical health is extremely important, and the Wellbeing Team Challenge was designed to bring everyone that bit closer together and promote activities that foster a sense of wellbeing. The success of this challenge proves just how close we are as a team, and the accompanying £5,000 raised for NHS Charities Together is a vote of thanks from us all for the incredible work by the NHS throughout this pandemic.”
