The recently launched Hotpoint GentlePower washing machine has been awarded a Red Dot Award for Product Design 2021.
The Red Dot Award: Product Design is recognised as one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions. This year’s international judging panel of 50 designers, leading academics and respected journalists evaluated more than 7,800 entries from around 60 countries. Among these, the Hotpoint GentlePower washing machine was selected to receive a Red Dot label for its high-quality design and appearance, in addition to its sustainable credentials.
Several models in the GentlePower range now hold this accolade, including the Hotpoint Class 8 GentlePower washing machine (H8 W946WB UK). In addition to its 'A' energy rating, the model is said to save up to 65% energy, 59% water and 30% detergent thanks to its GentlePower technology and the benefit of the Auto Dose feature. In addition, over 87% of the washing machine can be recycled at the end of its lifecycle.
Kimberley Garner, Hotpoint brand manager, said: “It's an honour to receive this award, which recognises our latest product design at Hotpoint. We continuously strive to provide our consumers with exceptional design, performance and innovation. Having the GentlePower washing machine stand out from thousands of other entries and to be given such a prestigious accolade, represents our overall commitment to design the highest quality solutions on the market to improve life at home.”
