As we look forward to the UK’s largest gathering of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom brands, Lisa Hibberd takes a look at a selection of the exciting kitchen products due to be showcased at the NEC in March.

With new product launches from over 300 exhibitors and 16,000+ buying professionals in attendance, KBB Birmingham is is the place to be for those in the industry. Key trends are expected to reflect the recent changes in the way we are now living and working – visitors can expect to see plenty of touchless technology, ingenious ways to bring the outdoors in, and of course, more sustainable choices.

“KBB Birmingham will offer visitors the chance to see the most innovative and exciting kitchen trends on the market, all in one place,” explains sales director of the show, Jon Johnston. “Our exhibitors cover the whole spectrum of kitchen design, including the very latest appliances – from bespoke refrigeration, premium cooking appliances and clever laundry solutions – to stunning kitchen furniture and finishes. There will be a focus on smart technology in kitchen designs too, which will be reflected by the most cutting-edge intelligent and connected kitchen solutions. Materials will play a big role in our kitchens offering, showcasing the latest worktops, splashbacks and tiles. Visitors will also see a continued focus on sustainability with exhibitors showing innovative products with clever water saving features or creating stands utilising recycled materials and renewable alternatives.”

1 – Rotpunkt will be using the KBB show platform to present the latest in eco-friendly kitchen furniture. New innovations include the Fenix colour range, which includes stunning Fenix Green, shown here on its Zerox collection

2 – Appliance manufacturer, BORA, will be debuting BORA S Pure, a cooktop with an integrated extractor offering top performance and optimum cooktop use while preserving maximum storage space. It features four asymmetrically arranged cooking zones, plus an air inlet nozzle that comes in six different colours

3 – Villeroy & Boch Kitchens will be exhibiting at KBB Birmingham for the first time, in collaboration with its Bathroom & Wellness and Tiles divisions. Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to see the UK launch of the new Carrè Signature furniture collection, and also the latest appliance collection from German pioneers of cooking technology, Küppersbusch

4 – 2022 will see multiple new surfaces join the Caesarstone range and visitors to its stand at KBB stand will be able to see the newly launched Pebbles Collection. It’s inspired by the beauty of the humble pebble and roots itself in subtle, organic designs through a variety of warm, white to grey colours and soft pebble-like veining. The range comprises five new surfaces, including 1004 Stoneburst, composed of two shades of sage grey

5 – Along with the newest products from its Perrin & Rowe and Shaws brands, House of Rohl will be presenting Riobel for the first time outside of its London showroom. The five kitchen taps being shown include the beautiful Ludik design in brass. It’s a striking sculptural piece that functions beautifully, too – the Boomerang™ 2-jet retractable hand spray with integrated swivel slips back into position with ease

6 – One of manufacturer and distributor Häfele’s main exhibits will be its expanded range of AluSplash splashbacks, including eight new colours and a marble finish. Responding to and anticipating future colour trends, the Elements collection features a hand-picked selection of earth, air, fire and water inspired shades

7 – Kaelo will be impressing visitors to its largest stand space to date with the ingenious Kaelo dry cold chamber open bottle host. It can be integrated into any table or countertop, ready to serve a perfectly chilled drink. Using patented dry-cold technology, Kaelo is like no other product in the market and as such offers retailers incremental revenue where no other products are usually fitted

8 – Novy’s new launch is the Phantom Frame recirculation hood. It combines powerful, yet quiet recirculation extraction, while its innovative box-in-box design is surrounded by translucent glass on all sides, creating a floating aesthetic

9 – This year’s KBB will see contemporary kitchen manufacturer Pronorm unveil a premium new kitchen brand called i-luminate – a design-centred handleless kitchen featuring integrated handle illumination available in all of Pronorm’s 250 door finishes

10 – Kitchens on display by Scavolini will include the Diesel Get Together collection, shown here – an evolution of Scavolini’s hugely successful Diesel Social Kitchen. Also showcased will be Formalia and DeLinea – both excellent examples of Scavolini’s signature contemporary style
