BSH has announced that Lars Schubert, currently its chief technology officer, has been appointed to the role of chief operating officer and will take over the role on 1st April. He will be taking over the position from Dr Silke Maurer, who is leaving the company. Schubert, who is a member of the board of management of BSH in China, will also become a member of the board of management of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH.
The company says that as chief operating officer he will be responsible for overseeing global supply chain management, as well as manufacturing, development, innovation, and corporate technology.
"I am delighted that in Lars Schubert we have found within BSH a highly qualified candidate with both technical and international experience to fill the position of COO," said Dr Christian Fischer, chairman of the supervisory board of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH and deputy chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH.
Dr. Carla Kriwet, CEO and chair of the BSH board of management, added: "Lars Schubert knows BSH and the needs of our consumers very well. He stands for innovation and speed like no other.
