JT appoints new key account manager after successful trading period

Shower tray manufacturer JT has appointed Michael Kimball-Smith as southern key account manager to continue to drive sales and develop the business in the South of England and in Wales.

Michael brings with him 33 years of experience in the bathroom sector, including working at Bathroom Guru, No Code, Novellini, Pennybee, and Copperfields in a range of different roles from Bathroom Installer and Wet Room Specialist to Manufacturer’s Representative. In his new role at JT, Michael will focus on supporting the manufacturer’s distribution partners, whilst seeking new business opportunities for the brand, putting JT at the forefront of their shower tray offerings.

Michael will be working closely with JT’s partners in the South of England and Wales, maintaining links with existing customers, and exploring how JT can continue to support their businesses and are maximising existing and future sales. Michael has also worked as a Bathroom specialist technical advisor on television, featuring on Homefront, Changing Rooms and Doing it Up

Commenting on his new position, Michael said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at JT, working with a company that are investing heavily in new production facilities, processes and designs. It’s great to work for a brand that is so widely respected in the bathroom industry, as well as being a brand that I’ve been familiar with for most of my working life. I’m looking forward to travelling across the UK to meet with and help customers achieve their sale goals.”

John Schofield, sales and marketing director at JT, added: “We are delighted to welcome Michael into his new position here at JT. Michael’s experience within the industry will serve as a great asset and we look forward to watching his development here.”

JT recently announced its latest innovation of 25% lighter stone resin shower trays, promising less stress on both the environment and customers. The weight reduction comes from a new blend of natural filler for the trays, and promises more innovation and the same JT quality, underpinned by its 25-year guarantee.
