The Loop illuminated wall and vanity mirror collection from Roper Rhodes has won the 2022 Red Dot award for product design, winning over a 48-member jury to secure the prize in the Bathroom & Sanitaryware category.
Said by Roper Rhodes to reflect its continued commitment to ergonomic and purposeful design, Loop offers adaptable features for both practical and ambient lighting. Intuitive touch-and-hold controls allow for complete light customisation in each design, altering brightness or colour temperature, while a simple double-tap changes between modes.
Designed with three times magnification and made to fit in the palm of your hand, the vanity mirror features a wireless stand that sits securely on a dresser or bathroom countertop. With an internal magnetic attachment system, the vanity can also be moved anywhere on the wall mirror surface, allowing users of every height to find a comfortable position for use. The wall-hung mirror also provides an innovative way to charge the vanity mirror by acting as a charging dock that is activated upon placement.
With roughly 20,000 entries, the Red Dot Award is one of the world's largest design competitions. Since its inception in 1955, the sought-after distinction has been the revered international seal of outstanding design quality.
Simon Taylor, marketing director at Roper Rhodes, said: "Our focus has always been to deliver exceptional, innovative product design and we are delighted that this commitment has been recognised with such a prestigious award. For years, Red Dot has represented the very best in the field of product design, and we are very proud to be amongst its recipients."
