The new Stratus Mono ceiling hood from Westin features a toughened-glass single-sheet outer body with recessed, dimmable LED lighting behind it, and a central panel that smoothly descends when the hood is activated and then ascends when deactivated to create a smooth, flush surface.
The aim of the design is to capture fumes from a much larger area, making use of the air's natural movement to reduce turbulence and keep noise levels down.
The central panel is mechanised on gas supports to provide weightless access to the dishwasher-safe grease filter. It has a maximum extraction rate of 800m3/h.
