Brand new for 2023, Schmidt has launched Wonder Wall – a multifunctional solution for interior spaces. It can act as a room divider for an open-plan kitchen or living area; a storage solution for any room of the home; a space-saving one-wall option for smaller areas; and a way for homeowners to personalise their interior with what they display and conceal from view.
Wonder Wall separates a space in a cohesive way while also providing privacy on one or both sides. It can include open shelving, closed-door storage, cubby holes, drawers, wine rack and home bar and is perfect for open plan kitchen-diners or kitchen-living. With Wonder Wall, homeowners can adapt their interior to suit their needs, creating or carving off space as required, while also keeping everything from kitchen utensils and cookware to books and wine bottles within easy reach. Wonder Wall can also be used in hallways, dressing rooms and bedrooms or guest suites to create a bespoke closet and bookcase combination.
The divider is designed to bring structure to any open space and as well as providing plenty of concealed and open storage, it can also be used to create a separate entrance within an open-plan kitchen or living area. This enables the double-sided partition to be used to separate a space without enclosing it. The full-height design can be specified with or without a doorway and is available in a choice of colours to complement or contrast any décor. New for 2023 are Corten, with its earthy bronze hue, and Rio, a rich, warm red.
“We are so excited to be launching many new innovations, ranges, trends and colours for 2023,” said Tamara Heller, marketing operations manager at Schmidt UK. “We know that our industry is always evolving and ever-changing and that to continue to meet consumers’ desires and needs, we have to provide bespoke solutions for every room and every home. Our new Wonder Wall is part of that promise and is a concept based on what we call ‘vertical architecture’. Taking home design to the next level, this functional partition can be used to subdivide a space and create opportunities for privacy and storage at the same time.”
