Schmidt embraces Japandi trend with new textured Bosca door

French kitchen manufacturer Schmidt has launched Bosca, a new textured door in Amber Oak.

Designed to embrace the Japandi trend, Bosca is manufactured from high density particleboard with a knotted oak veneer. The doors feature a mix of sawn and straight grain timber for a natural look and feel. For a more bespoke finish, consumers can choose a mix of smooth and knotted wood.

The company, which offers whole-house solutions, says that Bosca can be used to connect the kitchen with other spaces such as dining and living areas as well as home offices and hallways. Sideboards and storage or drinks cabinets can also be created in a matching front for a co-ordinated interior.

Bosca in Amber Oak has been designed to complement Schmidt’s new marble-effect Yule surface, which has delicate veined detailing, and is seen above with matt black lacquered hardware to enhance the Japandi vibe.

“We have lots of new designs, colours and trends launching in 2023,” said Tamara Heller, marketing operations manager at Schmidt UK. “Our new Bosca door fits seamlessly into any room of the home for a cohesive interior design or it can be used as a standalone statement piece in the kitchen with a multipurpose island. However you embrace it, Bosca is perfect for bringing the Japandi look into your home while also having a timeless feel that will last for years to come.”
