Barcelona-based bathroom manufacturer Roca is participating in the Milan Furniture Fair for the second consecutive year.
During Fuorisalone 2023, which runs from 17th-23rd April, Roca will present Nutura, a pavilion created by Benedetta Tagliabue of EMBT Architects. The design was inspired by the light and textures of the Mediterranean and 20th century Barcelona architecture, combining wood and ceramic walls to create a ‘sinuous and multisensory passage' that plays with shadows and textures.
The name of the pavilion is a blend of two of Roca’s latest collections, Nu, pictured, which was designed by Inma Bermúdez (National Innovation and Design Award 2022) and Tura, by Andreu Carulla. Both ranges are depicted on the ceramic floor tiles, created by ceramist Toni Cumella, which are used within the installation.
Visitors can see the Natura Pavilion in the courtyard of the University of Milan (Via Festa del Perdono 7) within the INTERNI Design Re-Evolution exhibition event.
