Bathroom retailer Ripples has held its annual Designer Day – an event devised to bring together the in-house designers from each of its 15 showrooms to share knowledge, hear from experts and align on the company’s objectives. Held at The Retreat at Elcot Park in Berkshire, the event saw 25 Ripples designers, from showrooms across the country, come together for a full day of presentations, collaboration, and brainstorming.
The day started with Ripples MD Paul Crow, pictured, and sales director Nicola Crow reviewing sales figures for each showroom and highlighting key objectives for the day. One of the subjects on the agenda was that of sustainability and how Ripples can become an industry leader in this area. An initial step was made by creating a committee that will focus on further implementing sustainable practices across the brand seeing a company standard to be met not only by its employees but suppliers alike.
Attendees also heard from tile specialist Ca’ Pietra about its up-and-coming product launches. The floor was then given to the designers. In a collaborative approach, each designer brought a copy of their favourite recently sold design, to share with their peers for feedback. This also allowed the designers to collaborate on new trends and sales practices that they could adopt. The exercise was a great success and a fantastic opportunity to let their talents and creativity show.
Ripples sales director, Nicola Crow, said: “At Ripples, we know the best way to get the most of our team is to invest in them fully, nurture their skill set and be proactive when it comes to their progression. One of the things that I am most proud of in Ripples is our fantastic team of designers and the fact that we continue to lead and inspire them. The Designer Day demonstrates that designers can have a varied and fulfilling career with Ripples. The energy and enthusiasm in the room throughout the day were both so motivating and exciting.”
