The MyLife Bathrooms charity golf day, now in its third year, was held at Warrenpoint Golf Club on 21st July where teams gathered for 18 holes of healthy golfing competition all in aid of MyLife’s four charity partners: British Heart Foundation, Dementia NI, Dom’s Food Mission, and Caring Coins Association. The company says that despite the rain, the day brought together employees, customers, suppliers, and friends, displaying both their golfing prowess and passion for giving back.
The money raised from the day will be added to MyLife’s other fundraising events and matched by the company at year end, with the aim to significantly help the lives of those in need. The British Heart Foundation spend millions in research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them, Dementia NI empower and support people in Northern Ireland with dementia to live well and drive positive change, Dom’s Food Mission helps to feed those in MyLife’s community experiencing food insecurity and Caring Coins Association is a local community group fundraising to promote positive mental health.
With prizes up for grabs for the top three teams, Closest to Pin and Longest Drive, the golfing fun culminated in a well-earned dinner and prizegiving ceremony. Top prizes included hospitality tickets for Liverpool v Newcastle at Anfield, overnight stay with round of golf and evening meal at Castleknock Hotel Resort Dublin plus golf hampers, meal vouchers and more, all kindly donated by MyLife employees and wider community.
Commenting on the event, MyLife CEO Andrew O’Brien said: “It was a great day, enjoyed by all and most importantly a fantastic amount raised for our charities. Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to our Main Sponsor HEYN Handling Solutions for their support, everyone that donated prizes, and sponsored tees.”
