Simon Acres Group, the recruitment agency and online training and service provider specialising in the KBB and construction industries, has launched a new training module aimed at builders’ merchants.
The interactive, online training module has been devised in partnership with Andy Gamble, the former MD at RGB Building Supplies, who has recently retired with over 40 years of experience in the builders’ merchanting industry. It is designed for new starters, apprentices and those who are considering a career as a builders’ merchant. It offers an exclusive insight into a ‘day in the life’ of working in this dynamic industry and Andy’s ‘merchanting smart tips’.

I want to be a guide, drawing from my decades of hands-on experience, to help those just beginning their careers to navigate the challenges and seize the opportunities that come their way in the builders’ merchanting world.”
As well as the training content, those who access the module will also benefit from a final assessment quiz to ensure they have grasped the insights and skills. Upon successfully completing the course, participants will receive a certificate of achievement.
