Colchester-based BC Designs has launched Gio, a new minimalist and contemporary egg-shaped bath.
Designed by company founder Barrie Cutchie, the freestanding Gio features ergonomic curves and a rimless design to provide a generous, 160-litre bathing area. The company says it is the first in a series of new baths, which aim to provide retailers with ‘more choice when it comes to specifying and designing bathrooms’.
Measuring 1645mm long, Gio is manufactured from Cian, a solid piece of material made from naturally occurring materials and resin that means the bath remains warm to touch and retains heat during bathing. It is also described as highly durable, stain and scratch resistant.
Gio, which is available with a matching countertop basin, comes in polished white, matt white and eight colours as part of the ColourKast range.
