Neil Tunstall replaces Yannick Fierling as new Haier Europe CEO



Haier Europe has announced the appointment of Neil Tunstall as its new chief executive officer, following what the company describes as 'a thorough global search process'. Tunstall will begin as Haier Europe CEO at the beginning of April. He will assume leadership of the Europe region, headquartered in Italy and with approximately 10,000 employees, a sales presence in more than 50 countries and 7 manufacturing sites. 

Tunstall, pictured, is an internationally experienced business leader with a strong marketing and commercial background and a proven track record of success across complex consumer business driven by technological innovation. He will lead the region and continue promoting long-term value creation for more customers and consumers. 

Neil Tunstall said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to lead Haier Europe. It is a business with an impressive manufacturing footprint, a strong brand portfolio, a talented team and an enviable reputation as a leader in the major appliances industry. I am convinced by the strength of Haier Europe's fundamentals and its potential, and I look forward to building on the great work already in place. I will be very focused on working with the central Haier Europe team and the markets to remain at the forefront of innovation in product technology and scenario-based solutions, as we serve millions of people around the world who use our products every day.” 

He has served Haier for the last 7 months as UK&I MD, leading the market towards the objective of being the number one company, and will retain his responsibilities for the market until a successor is appointed. Tunstall replaces Yannick Fierling, who joined Haier in 2015 and successfully led the organisation for the last 9 years.
