Coram UK recognised for commitment to sustainability and compliance

UK manufacturer of showering solutions Coram UK has announced its ISO14001:2015 recertification, which confirms it has once again achieved the Environmental Management System (EMS) Standard in recognition of environmental sustainability and commitment to compliance.

ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems. It provides a framework for organisations to design and implement an EMS, and continually improve their environmental performance. By adhering to this standard, organisations can ensure they are taking proactive measures to minimise their environmental footprint, comply with relevant legal requirements, and achieve their environmental objectives.

Coram UK is home to the Impey, Coram Showers, Sealskin, Tiger and Geesa brands. With a focus on sustainability and continuous improvement, Coram UK has been ISO14001 certified for over 14 years. Understanding the benefit to the business both internally and externally, the Shropshire-based manufacturer says it has has held a long-term progressive attitude to the importance of sustainable manufacture.

Paul Gatfield, head of manufacturing and SHE, said: “Coram UK has embedded a strong culture with regards to environmental and sustainable issues. I believe we are now at a stage where we can consider how we take this to the next level. The production team is extremely positive and driven to work environmental and sustainable benefits into our product portfolio and the associated design and manufacturing ethics.

“We are incredibly pleased to have completed our recertification of ISO14001:2015 with no nonconformities. I would like to thank everyone across the business who has worked incredibly hard towards our continued improvement and ongoing success when it comes to compliance, environmental and sustainability issues.”
