AMDEA welcomes new chief executive as Paul Hide steps down
The Association of Manufacturers of Domestic Appliances (AMDEA) has announced the appointment of Stefan Hay as chief executive officer of AMDEA, as Paul Hide steps down after nearly 6 years at the helm.
Stefan has worked at senior level with, and for, trade associations, membership bodies and not-for-profit organisations for the past 30 years, including the Confederation of European Security Suppliers, the British Security Industry Association, Electrical Contractors’ Association and most recently as CEO of the National Tyre Distributors Association. Prior to that, he worked in various operational and training roles in the corporate security sector.
Speaking of his appointment, Hay said: "At a time of exciting evolution in the domestic appliance sector where innovation, sustainability, and smart technology are transforming our everyday lives at rapid pace, I am delighted to be joining AMDEA as CEO. I have big shoes to fill – Paul has achieved amazing things over the past 5 and a half years, and I’m looking forward to working with a very competent and very successful team. It’s a privilege to lead an organisation at the heart of such meaningful change, and emerging opportunities and I look forward to supporting our members and working with them to shape the future of our industry."
