Porcelain stone specialist Florim Stone has unveiled its latest surfaces, including 2 types of granite, 4 limestones, one porphyry, 3 travertines, and one refined marble. This wide choice is said to offer a range of design possibilities, allowing for a stylish and versatile approach to furniture.
There are also 2 new finishes that have been added to the portfolio. The new 'Leather' finish refers to the leather effect characteristic of a natural stone finish, achieved through a process of acid treatment or sandblasting and subsequent brushing. The result is a soft, tactile effect that maintains the veining of the stone, as these processes act on the soft part of the stone itself, creating three-dimensional effects that highlight its natural pattern.
With the Florim stone surfaces, new decorative technologies make it possible for Florim to create 3-dimensional graphic and textural effects that make the product similar to the natural material that inspired it. The surfaces achieved with this technology are Stone Montpellier, Stone Dordogne, Stone Chablis, Shake Travertine, Pearl Travertine, Gold Travertine, Blue Granite, Black Granite.
The new 'Silk' finish interprets the matte lapping carried out on natural stone. This technique involves general abrasion of the surface of the stone with coarse-grained grinding stones, before refining it with a finer grain to make the surface soft to the touch but not reflective.
