Tom Howley introduces two limited-edition bold and timeless cabinetry colours
Luxury kitchen company Tom Howley has announced the launch of 2 new limited-edition paint colours – Hazelwood (pictured above) and Sumac (below) – available across its bespoke cabinetry collections.
The limited-edition launch reflects a shift in kitchen design, as Tom Howley reports a marked rise in demand for colour-rich cabinetry. In 2025, 66% of sales have featured colourful kitchens, compared to just 50% in 2024. The company says that Sumac and Hazelwood respond to this growing demand for expressive, characterful interiors with colour palettes that are personal and enduring.
Created to capture the warmth, depth and individuality that define the Tom Howley design ethos, Sumac and Hazelwood offer a bold yet timeless palette for those seeking to elevate their interiors through colour.
“Sumac is a deep, earthy-red with just enough softness to feel inviting rather than overpowering,” explains Tom Howley, creative design director. “Sumac works extremely well in a colour-drenched room, as a statement island or on a standalone piece of furniture like a dresser or bi-fold pantry. It’s a bold choice, but one that pays off by bringing real personality to a space.
“Hazelwood feels calm, natural and comforting. It has a natural warmth that makes it a strong base for our cabinetry,” says Howley. “Brown is an earthy colour, it pairs nicely with lighter neutral tones, timbers finishes and soft metallics – perfect for creating kitchens that feel calm and inviting.”
The new launch is said to reflect a growing shift in how colour is used at home, with more confidence, individuality and a desire for choices that feel personal and enduring.
Tom Howley adds: “A colour choice should feel personal, but never fleeting. Sumac and Hazelwood reflect the colours of the season – they’re warmer, richer – yet still timeless. They are designed to bring lasting character and depth to a kitchen, regardless of trends or time of year. What makes them feel relevant now is the shift we’re seeing in how people use colour at home. There’s more confidence, more individuality, and a growing desire to make bold but considered choices. Kitchens can reflect personal style.”
