Rehome has partnered with home renovation planning app Reno to enhance the customer journey for ex-display kitchens, introducing an integrated digital planning tool that helps buyers assess fit and explore layout options before purchase.

Adapted specifically for Rehome, the bespoke version of Reno’s white label planning tool is embedded within Rehome’s platform and built around the realities of purchasing ex-display kitchens. Customers can open a specific listing in its current configuration and test it within their own space, adding room measurements and mapping key features such as windows and doors. They can then reposition units to explore realistic layout possibilities before committing to buy.

Rehome has invested in the tool as part of its commitment to making ex-display kitchen resale simpler, and more appealing to a wider audience. By addressing fit concerns early in the browsing journey, the feature is expected to shorten decision cycles and support quicker resale of ex-display kitchens listed via Rehome, benefiting the retailers whose display stock enters the marketplace.

Speaking about the addition of the planning tool, Helen Lord, founder of Rehome, said: “Ex-display kitchens represent outstanding value, but the biggest hurdle is almost always the same: certainty that the kitchen will fit the space and can be reconfigured to suit it. The new planning tool enables customers to take a specific Rehome kitchen and quickly understand how it could work in their own home. By funding this experience as part of our platform, we’re removing friction from the ex-display resale journey and supporting more confident, informed purchases.”

For the industry, the partnership reflects the growing importance of confident, digitally supported decision-making in the ex-display market, where customers are often committing to high-value purchases outside the traditional in-store pathway.

Commenting on the new partnership Penny Andrews, CEO and co-founder of Renovate With Reno, said: “"Rehome is a brilliant partner to demonstrate how simple digital planning tools can help people make great decisions for themselves and the environment, especially for high-consideration purchases in the home renovation journey. By tailoring the Reno platform for the ex-display market, we’re empowering customers to understand exactly how a kitchen could work in their home, enabling them to feel confident about their purchase whilst removing friction from the retail sales experience."

The new planning tool is now available through Rehome’s ex-display kitchen listings, providing customers with a more interactive way to assess suitability and visualise potential configurations as part of their buying journey.
