French kitchen designer and manufacturer Schmidt has launched its new zero-waste kitchen. The new Origin collection is described as a complete range made from 100% recycled wood carcases and front panels. Available in two new colours on two sides, Twist and Tavern, Origin is manufactured from 100% recycled melamine high-density particle board and features distinctive woven, wood and metallic effects.
The company says it is fully committed to protecting the environment and that by developing this range of recycled units, it is affirming this position. The new range offers plenty of storage solutions and design details. Wall units feature vertical storage areas for jars and bread boards while the new integral handle is exclusive to Schmidt and brings a contemporary touch to cabinets. Pull-out drawers with slatted wooden fronts also allow for quick and easy access to dried ingredients and larder items.
To complement the Origin kitchen, Schmidt also offers a selection of premium appliances. These include hoods, integrated dishwashers, built-in ovens and induction hobs, alongside microwaves, coffee machines and refrigeration.
