To mark its 13th anniversary, the multi-award-winning Leeds-based design studio, Grid Thirteen, has unveiled 3 new striking kitchen displays – we take a look around. Photos by Andy Haslam.

“Our new displays showcase how we work with leading international brands such as SieMatic, which we have expertly blended with our own bespoke ‘Darling Maeve’ cabinetry to bring the best of both worlds to homeowners looking for contemporary design, combined with traditional craftsmanship and personalised detailing for warmth and character," says Grid Thirteen founder & creative director Natalie Fry.

"Many of our displays demonstrate how we work alongside local craftsmen and artisans to create bespoke finishes and designs that enhance our cabinetry, sharing the same appreciation for craftsmanship, quality materials and considered design so we can create personalised, timeless kitchen spaces – each with its own distinct identity.”

Located on the studio’s ground floor are 2 of the new displays. The first is a stunning ‘quiet luxury’ contemporary kitchen example using SieMatic’s luxury S2 cabinetry range that show two recently launched finishes – a sophisticated Sahara Beige is elegantly contrasted with a warm Quartz Oak veneer – that demonstrates a refined balance of tone and texture.

The cabinetry has been carefully selected as an example of intelligent design that combines beauty with functionality. For example, a bi-fold door discreetly conceals a hidden appliance bank, demonstrating to homeowners how they can organise and access their space with ease while maintaining a clean, uninterrupted aesthetic. To introduce elegant detailing to the cabinetry, Grid Thirteen has added Hendel & Hendel’s latest kitchen handle design named the ‘Scroll’ – a delicate, feather-shaped form finished in an oil-rubbed bronze tone that brings both character and refinement to the overall aesthetic. This display is completed with a sophisticated pairing of natural travertine and Dekton worktops, balancing organic texture with contemporary performance.

Enhancing the architectural presence of the space, Grid Thirteen has framed the SieMatic S2 display with a Venetian-style, handcrafted natural lime plaster wall, created by Yorkshire-based specialists Stucco + Stucco. Applied using traditional artisan techniques, this feature wall reflects a meticulous level of craftsmanship. The design is further elevated with carefully curated accessories, architectural lighting and an additional curved lime plaster arch that frames the sink and hob run to add tactile softness and visual interest.

Positioned on the opposite wall in the ground-floor of the studio is their second new display – a luxury home bar. Designed in collaboration with artistic stone specialists Stone Connection, this home bar scheme features curved marble detailing surrounding premium SieMatic SLX cabinetry. Finished in Natural Harmony Grey Marble and complemented by burnished bronze accents across the cabinetry, it also features an eye-catching ceiling-suspended shelving framework. This elegant structure provides a striking display for bottles and glassware, blending functionality with sculptural design.

On the first floor, the third new display presents a beautifully considered entry-level SieMatic SLC kitchen. This tactile scheme explores contrast through materials and finishes, with textured walnut cabinetry doors paired with a contemporary metallic bronze finish. Subtle detailing on the handles enhances the overall design, demonstrating how accessible kitchen ranges can still deliver a refined and modern aesthetic.

Acknowledging Grid Thirteen’s long-term partnership with German kitchen brand SieMatic, Aidan Loonie, MD of SieMatic UK, said: “Over the past 13 years, we have had the pleasure of building a great partnership with Grid Thirteen and witnessing Natalie Fry’s remarkable journey and continued success alongside her talented team. Their studio’s exceptional work has been showcased across many of our brochures, campaigns and digital publications, reflecting both her talent and dedication to outstanding design. We look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead and to continuing our successful partnership for many years to come.”
