Hoover has announced that it has signed a 12-month contract to become the main sponsor of Warrington Wolves Women's Team.
The leading kitchen appliance manufacturer has worked with Warrington Wolves rugby club since 2019, supporting the men's team as well as the women's.
The rugby club is based in Warrington, Cheshire, and Hoover also has its headquarters in the nearby area.
Hoover, part of the Haier group, will have branding rights throughout the Warrington Wolves' Halliwell Jones Stadium - which has capacity for over 15,000 spectators - as well as on the club's digital platforms.
The deal is "one of the most significant" for the rugby team, and was announced earlier this month alongside the unveiling of the rugby club's 2022 kit launch (shown above). This activity tied in with International Women's Day. The Hoover-branded rugby kits were debuted on 13th March.
Karl Fitzpatrick, CEO at Warrington Wolves, commented about the new sponsorship: "Warrington Wolves are proud to be strengthening our successful relationship with such a big blue-chip brand as Hoover. As official club sponsors for a number of years now, it’s great to see their continued support for both the men’s and women’s teams and we’re pleased to be working with this iconic brand, whereby we can support one another locally and give back to the community".
Antony Peart, director of brand and communications at Hoover Candy Group, added: "As a business that’s based in Warrington, we’re excited to become the main sponsors of the Warrington Wolves Women’s Team. Both brands share a passion for performance and being the very best at what we do, and we can’t wait to see what this season brings".
