Novy's Phantom 130cm Recirculation Island Hood has been awarded with an international Red Dot for Product Design 2022.
The hood, which is available in a pendant design or with a black metal frame, is designed to be installed above a kitchen island and was launched at KBB Birmingham last month.
The unique cooker hood features two separate lighting systems that are designed to enhance the practicality and ambiance of the kitchen. Four adjustable downward spotlights can be used for food preparation and cooking, while the dimmable LED strip is ideal for creating a mood lighting effect between the hood and the glass.
The Phantom is designed with Novy’s PURE 3.0 recirculation technology, meaning that even the strongest odours are eradicated in an energy-efficient way.
The Red Dot Award: Product Design is an annual celebration of the best products on the market, with the judging panel choosing winners based on "outstanding design".
The win marks the third Red Dot: Product Design that the cooker hood and hob specialist has received, with the Novy One and Novy Panorama Vented Downdraft Induction Hob and the Novy Panorama Downdraft Induction Hob honoured previously.
Owain Harrison, country manager at Novy, says: "We are so pleased to have achieved an international Red Dot: Product Design 2022 for the Novy Phantom, which is a truly distinctive cooker hood and lighting system in one. It was one of our star product launches at KBB Birmingham and we are delighted that its attractive and innovative design has been recognised by the Red Dot jury".
This isn't Novy's only win of 2022: in January, the business was honoured with a Plus X Award for its Novy Easy PRO.
