Franke has launched its new Avant Silence cooker hoods, which the brand says combine high performance with low noise levels. Featuring innovative noise-reducing technology, the new wall and island hoods are said to be ideal for open-plan kitchens. The two new models feature Franke’s new Sound Pro Blowers, which offer noise reduction and a more pleasant operating sound. At maximum power, the noise threshold of the hood is limited by up to -6dB and the technology also optimises the sound produced, reducing the disturbance caused by high frequencies.
Both the Avant Silence Wall and Island hoods feature a T-shaped design in an mix of stainless steel and black glass. The hoods offer three operating speeds plus an intensive setting with a quiet 68dB sound level and an extraction rate of 750 m3/h when in intensive mode. They feature capacitative touch controls, adaptable LED lights, a 24-hour ventilation option, which automatically refreshes the air for 10 minutes every hour and an Energy Efficiency Class A+ rating. Both are suitable for ducted extraction or recirculatory mode and are backed by a two-year warranty.
The Avant Silence Wall hood measures 90cm wide and 45cm deep and features two energy efficient LED lights while the Avant Silence Island hood measures 90cm wide and 68cm deep and offers four LED lights. The new Sound Pro Blowers are featured across all 10 new models in Franke’s newly enhanced decorative cooker hoods portfolio, as well as many existing models.
