German kitchen retailer, Kutchenhaus, has welcomed John Russell on board as its new store opening manager for the UK.
Stepping into the role with 30 years of experience in DIY retailing under his belt, John is joining the business to support its ambitious growth plans. Previously working at companies such as Wickes and B&Q, John’s new position will cover Kutchenhaus’s installation service, the recruitment and development of people, and the overall showroom opening experience. His experience in the past ranges from managing teams and distribution centres to installation planning and developing talent.
John said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining the business and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future holds. My role will be varied, nicely split between installation and the in-store experience, meaning I will have an impact on what the customer journey of purchasing a Kutchenhaus kitchen looks and feels like. Part of my role will be ensuring spaces are high-quality and that our franchise partners are in the best possible position ahead of their opening. All work will ultimately be around the experience for the end customer, showcasing the best in German kitchen design.”
As a part of kitchen manufacturer Nobilia, Kutchenhaus says it is an award-winning retailer that creates affordable kitchens that are skilfully engineered and beautifully designed. The company’s UK head office is situated in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.
Paul Lee, head of marketing at Kutchenhaus, commented: “John brings a wealth of experience to the team and will be a true asset thanks to both his knowledge and enthusiasm for the industry. He’ll become a key contact for new franchise partners, using his experience to work with them on a personal level and support their showroom opening, helping them to deliver an exceptional space for customers to explore.”
