Italian manufacturer Scavolini has unveiled its latest furniture collection – Mira – a range that is said by the company to be 'understated and elegant' and 'embrace the quiet luxury trend'.
The Mira collection offers a palette of soft colours, and finishes inspired by nature and pared-back but not austere design. “As with all our collections at Scavolini, our goal with Mira was to create furniture that would unite the kitchen and living room into a space that flowed effortlessly from one to the other,” says Fabiana Scavolini, CEO of Scavolini. “Mira’s carefully considered range of colours and finishes will ensure that those spaces feel luxurious but also eminently liveable too.”
The calm neutrals are ideal for an open-plan scheme where the kitchen needs to blend in but not disappear, with tall units providing ample storage, and eliminating the need for wall cabinets above the sink and hob run. This helps the kitchen feel more like part of the living space and less like a working area, as does open shelving, which can be used for pictures and decorative objects rather than kitchen equipment. Hidden under shelving, however, there can be subtly useful additions, such as task lighting or a rail for keeping utensils within reach.
