Caple has revealed it is celebrating Zero Waste Week, from 4th - 8th September, on its blog with a handpicked selection of handy gadgets, functional taps and high-performance appliances that can all help consumers to reduce landfill waste. Zero Waste Week is an annual initiative, which has attracted participants in more than 80 countries, and has been designed to encourage individuals and companies to reduce your landfill waste for one week.
Product manager Luke Shipway said: “At Caple, we have introduced a variety of products within our portfolio, which will enable you to reduce your landfill waste on a more permanent basis. Making minimal changes in your kitchen with the right accessory, tap and appliance can all lead to a sustainable consumption pattern. Meal planning, mindful shopping and using a fridge-freezer efficiently can all help to achieve zero waste."
Examples include Caple’s waste disposal units (WDUs), which can help to reduce the amount of food that ends up in landfill, as they grind leftover food into tiny pieces (virtually liquefying it), which then flow to water treatments plants instead. Additionally, a CaplePuriti filtered water tap will process up to 6,000 litres of water every six months (before the filter needs replacing), which equates to 3,000 two-litre plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfill. The CAFF465GM French Door Fridge Freezer (pictured) incorporates their signature Caple Cool air flow system. This is designed to maintain an even temperature and help food stay fresher for longer.
