Schmidt introduces new Bossa Nova collection to portfolio

With dark kitchens and a grainy wood finish both set to be trends for 2024, French interior specialist Schmidt has unveiled a collection that blends both and suits contemporary and classic interiors. Bossa Nova is said by the brand to 'embrace the elegance of wood with a textured black lacquer finish that looks elegant and understated with the new Yule Grey marble-effect work surfaces'.

The new Bossa Nova kitchen collection features a large island for food prep and casual dining. Big enough for all the family, it’s also ideal for home working. Bossa Nova also includes a variety of units and space-saving storage – the glass-fronted display units offer an ordered way to tidy away crockery, cookware, glasses and more, protecting them from dust and dirt while still allowing quick and easy access when needed. The units can also be illuminated from within to make a feature out of the dinnerware, ceramics and accessories inside.

The textured black wood cabinets create a minimal look that allows the marble-effect laminate work surfaces to take centre stage. The tall larder unit has sturdy pull-outs that take the weight of heavy bottles, jars and tins while drawers with wooden interior fittings keep cutlery organised. Schmidt’s larder comes at a depth of 62.5cm, which the company says gives 26% extra storage space over other larder solutions. The Yule Grey marble-effect laminate work surface is said to be water resistant and hardwearing – it’s available in thicknesses of 20mm, 40mm and 78mm.
